There is this thing called situation analysis. It sounds kinda academic and dry. I think it might be something alot of businesses could see some good things from though.

Something as simple as taking a hard look at what your trying to achieve, how you are going about doing that, and if its working out for you.

I can see this helping basically anyone even if you aren’t a business owner. Just a matter of stopping and taking an assessment of the situation you’re in.

Although many times in my life this was a scary and sometimes pretty upsetting thing to do. In business and in personal life and finances. It can be sobering to see bad things or not-as-good-as-you-would-like things.

But for our purposes, you’ve pretty well got to do it. When trying to figure out your marketing and what steps you should take, you really need to iron out these things beforehand.

I’ll keep going down this road for a while because it is a foundational part of marketing research and planning and all that fun stuff.
